China and Africa share some similarities.
China, with a population of about 1.4 billion, is the largest developing country in the world, while Africa, with a population of about 1.2 billion, is the continent with the highest number of developing countries in the world.
As a developing country, China has defied many standard policy prescriptions, performed tremendously well and has been able to lift more than 850 million people out of poverty within the last 4 decades (says the World Bank).
How did China achieve this great feat within such a short-span and to the amazement of advanced nations and international development organizations?
Is there a way Africans can learn from this to help Africa?
The China Africa Initiative is supporting Africans to avail themselves of the quality and affordable education available in China, in order to learn the secrets of China’s great progress and use them to lift Africa out of poverty and into prosperity.
Through one of our host organizations, Guoji Dui, Africans can get the needed help in gaining admission into China’s tertiary institutions for academic study at the Bachelors, Masters, Doctoral, Post doctoral and other levels.
As more Africans turn to China in search of better and more affordable education, foreign revenue accruing to Chinese institutions and China can increase. So, this is mutually beneficial.
The education in China is more modern, more relevant and more effective to tackling poverty and realizing prosperity. This must be why China is overtaking global powers in economic, technology, politics and others.
